In the early weeks of pregnancy, I kept searching for the perfect diaper bag; something that would make things feel easier. But every bag I tried left me feeling more weighed down than supported.
Then a friend gave me the best advice: use a tote you feel good carrying…something that makes you feel like you.
So I simplified: one tote I already love with my favorite mom go-to packing cubes by Itzy Ritzy. Everything has a place, and I still feel like my old self when carrying it.
Here’s how I pack using this method:
Large Cube: Diaper Changes
- 4 Diapers
- On-The-Go Wipe Dispenser
- Travel Changing Pad
- Doggie Poop Bags Dispenser
- Travel Diaper Cream
- Wet/Dry Bag
- Extra Onesie
Medium Cube: Feeding Essentials
- Empty Bottles (packed inside a wet bag)
- Formula dispenser (for formula moms)
- Nursing cover (for nursing moms)
- Manual pump (for pumping moms)
- Bib and/or spoon
- Burp cloth
- Snacks
Tip for formula moms: Pack a thermal full of distilled water at your baby’s preferred temperature
Small Cube: Tiny Must-Haves
- Pacifiers
- Gripe water or gas drops
- Teether
- Hand sanitizer
- Hair tie, lip balm, maybe even a mini perfume
I just drop the cubes into whatever tote I’m feeling that day, toss in my wallet and keys, and I’m done! Everything has a place, and nothing is rolling around. And best of all? It doesn’t look or feel like a diaper bag! Score!
